    Yikes
Just listened to the 2019 episode with Stacy London who was very clearly still grieving her father. Should she even have been interviewed when she was in that state? She’s like an open wound

    Interesting, sycophantic
Interesting guests who are *usually* allowed to answer questions without interruption from Christene (lots of celeb interviewers ask interminable questions, or never let their guests speak/complete their answers). Biggest issues are Christene’s low energy manner and sycophantic questions, which don’t lend themselves to a spirited or challenging discussion. However, if you are looking for a light celeb-focused podcast to listen to while you commute or work around the house, this will do.

Really enjoyed your podcast but miss you!! Will you be returning anytime soon?

    Inspiring Guests, Inspiring Conversations
I've never been bored listening to this podcast. From the celebrity guests I'm already familiar with to the newer, emerging voices, I've consistently found these interviews and their takeaways to be new, refreshing, and inspiring. Christene approaches each guest with equal parts curiosity and a rare vulnerability too. Sometimes I feel like I'm eavesdropping on two cool best friends catching up on life, which really means they're just the best, most natural conversations.

Read what Black women are saying abt workin at R29
I can’t give 0 stars and post. I am unsubscribing to this podcast and to R29 across all platforms. Plz take time to read and listen to what Black women are saying about working at R29 and let’s let none of us be gaslit by R29 leadership.

    Inspiring
Christine and her beautiful voice exude fashion and contemporary culture. They don’t make these fast enough! Every week I’m so inspired it’s crazy! I’m addicted for sure! I. Need. More.

    A class all it’s own
Christene’s a warm and wise interviewer and brings such depth to every conversation. Her great rapport with her subjects makes all the difference. I feel better for listening to each episode of this brilliant podcast, and prouder to be a woman in this era. From the caliber of guests, to the vulnerability that is often expressed, Unstyled does it best. Must listen: Jane Fonda episode.

    Inspiring...but also a motherhood podcast
Absolutely love the podcast but each episode lately seems to circle around motherhood. I’m so happy for Christine and do enjoy hearing about the trials and tribulations of being a new mom, BUT I wish there was more of a focus on the guests lives and careers, which is why I originally fell in love with the podcast. I find myself either skipping through the recent episodes or stopping listening altogether once motherhood is brought up.

    Mommy Pod
I’ve always liked this podcast but motherhood seems to have become the dominant theme of a lot of the interviews—even when the guest is not herself a mother. I’m happy for the host and appreciate that her life has changed with her pregnancy and newborn, but I’m wondering if I’m wanting to stick with this subscription. I was originally here to learn about amazing women, their careers and style—independent of their family status. It’s starting to feel like I’m eavesdropping on a maternity issues therapy session. While I’m sure there is a great need for this type of podcast too, it’s not exactly what’s being advertised.

    UnStyled never disappoints
This is one of those podcasts that I listen to religiously - even if I’m not initially familiar with the guest or interested in the topic - I’d listen just for Christine Barberich’s soothing voice alone! But, I get a few minutes into the intro and I’m hooked. Every guest, every topic, every season has been a pleasure! I’m so glad the podcast has returned for the new season - it’s like catching up with a long lost friend!

    Soothing
It may be simple, but this podcast is realistic and so relatable. Idk what it is but Christine’s voice is soothing, like she’d be a bomb diggity yoga instructor. I feel at ease knowing that struggles I face today are struggles those have faced - leading to practical guidance that just makes sense, yanno?
  • Project Girl Crush
Are you best friends with Alyssa Mastromonaco yet?
I adore this relatable, intelligent podcast. I always walk away feeling inspired - I’ve listened to every single one. Particularly, however, episode 11 made my WHOLE HEART happy. I feel like I was let in to this intimate secret that is new female friendships blossoming. If Christine and Alyssa Mastromonaco aren’t having cocktails in their wedding dresses right this instant, nothing in the world makes sense. So listen! And then tell EVERYONE.

    Keeping it real!
I’m a woman in my mid-20’s and listening to this podcast makes me hope that my girlfriends and I would be having this kind of honest, intelligent, and funny conversations about womanhood when we grow up. I love how candid the talks are and the episodes are all good length (usually 20-30min). Highly recommend!

    Authenticity & Optimism
Came upon this podcast because I have just finished Elain Welteroth's book, "More Than Enough". Ms. Welteroth was interviewed and I loved how the conversation flowed. Listened to the Busy Phillips interview and was wanting for more. I am a Follower!

    Authentic
There are so many choices when we ask ourselves ‘what should I listen to today?’ The answer is UnStyled! Christene’s mix of guests along with her genuine interview style, will make you feel like you’re sitting with intimate-friends having coffee. Each episode comes with impactful-insight to a wide variety of scenarios which inevitably touch the core of the human experience... either in reflection of who we are, or in hopes of whom we are becoming. Christene is a true power-house of experiences herself, thus coming from a place of knowledge, humor, sympathy, and empathy, inevitably having you connecting to the discussions on a level which will make you happy that you made the choice to listen to UnStyled!

    Great podcast
I love how the interviews are always about the guests...every question opens up insightful revelations. Other podcasts are all about the “influencer” who is conducting it...it shows the lack of professional journalism. I enjoy every single episode...behind every conversation there is something so relatable...whether you have something or nothing in common with the guest. Love it!!! Ana D

    A MUST LISTEN!!
My day is brighter when I listen to this podcast!! Christine is a beautiful host and interviewer, empathetic, encouraging, and laid back. I leave feeling empowered, connected, and joyful. Highly recommend!!

Binged on 5 the first time!
I had a long drive and decided to start Unstyled on the trip from NYC to Portland. I listened to 5 interviews in a row. Christene is a thoughtful, warm and talented interviewer. Her approach and depth really makes for a unique experience. I’m looking forward to catching up on more back episodes.
  • chelcirachelle
    Powerful
I felt compelled to say after just listening to Christine interview E. Jean that her interview style is so wonderful. She had a warm and soothing voice and seems to make her guests feel comfortable and empowered. She asked very good questions. Just so so powerful. Loved it.
  • jobseeker2
    Are you kidding?
Had listened to a few episodes but the last guest you had had zero credibility which is why no one else will have her on. Why don't you have Juanita Broderick on? Oh that's right you don't care about women, you just don't like trump.
  • candicecarlton
    Loved loved loved
Smart, real conversations. Completely uplifted by conversations with Stacey London. At long last a podcast about modern femininity with smarts and style and authenticity. Great job I styled. 🙌🏻🙌🏻💗💗👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

    Thoughtful Discussions
This podcast feels like unwrapping a gift with each conversation. Christine is a thoughtful, sharp interviewer. She is a student of people and movements and creates an inviting atmosphere for all her guests. It is uplifting, moving and within the context of the stories behind our style.

    A Weekly Highlight
I really enjoy these interviews between Christine and her guests! I wish episodes were maybe even a little longer, because they always seem to fly by. I love what a variety of topics that are covered. ✨💫☀️👌🏼

    Unstyled: More episodes please!
Just caught up the latest unstyled episodes. More please! Found myself listening to them all back to back. Christene’s interviewing style continues to be so natural and comes across with an ease that brings out a completely absorbable and meaningful side of each guest. Smart, relatable and truly enjoyable.

If you’re going to listen, let it be the Jenny Slate ep
Long time listener of the podcast, first time reviewer. Christine Barberich is an icon in her own right but somehow never overshadows her guests. And she’s been on such a roll with a slew of accomplished women this season. Today’s Jenny Slate podcast was electrifying, honest and raw. I wish it’d gone on longer!
  • Analisa C.
    Great interviewees
I really love the folks that Christene brings on to the show, and I listen about once a week or so. However, my one big piece of feedback would be that she tends to interrupt * a lot *. She is a journalist and knows how to ask great questions for sure, but has a habit of turning the conversation to be about her and her opinion a bit too often. I'm definitely still going to continue to be a listener, but it's something that has irked me and has made me fast forward episodes.
  • JessHannum
    Excellent
I really admire your interview style. I wish there were new episodes. So miss this podcast!! Authentic, raw, clean, clear. Thank you! Love tuning in.

    Empowering, Informative & Sophisticated
I’m a new mom and I work in fashion. This podcast has been amazing because it gives me a bit of decadent “me” time - but it’s also super informative and keeps me in the loop. I can’t wait to hear more from you, Christene. Such a wonderful series!
  • Reese mpls
    Photostylist
Christene is by far the best interviewer out there...and I listen to a LOT of podcasts. She has wonderful insight, perspective and a knack for bringing out the best in the interviewee.
  • Chief Abiding Officer

    The best!
Christine is a rockstar leader who features the top guests in the world. Incredible podcast!
  • lscherschligt
    Perfect
The perfect podcast. Christine’s voice sounds like milk and honey, and the guests are absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait for season 3!
  • canuhearmenow
    boring host
Podcasts do well when the host / voice is engaging and interesting. I tried listening to 2 different podcasts and Christene Barberich is so boring to listen to...her low energy feeds off to her guests. Just because you CAN make a podcast doesn’t mean you SHOULD. Have someone else host this show.
  • Inez0621
    Wow!!
Love their Instagram pages but loooove their podcast. If you’ve found yourself or still looking this podcast is for you. Keep up the work!

    Listen while you Learn
On season 1 I was introduced to Christene and the team behind the site I had enjoyed so much for years. On season 2 Christene takes us on a journey. She presents new concepts, makes us think, ignites our passions. And culminates by presenting key actionable ways to take part in society and social change. Each episode taught me something leaving me inspired and empowered. Thank you for such a great work! Can’t wait for next seasons and the bonus interviews!
  • Yakimbo
This is exactly what we all need right now.
LOVE this podcast. I laughed. I cried. I felt inspired. All whilst riding the subway. Every episode is it’s own gem of depth, wisdom and inspiration that makes me feel empowered and connected. Thank you for all the hard work that you put into these.

Humbly requesting Stacy London as a guest host
Love this podcast. So refreshing and interesting to hear women telling their stories of success and business building. I am humbled and inspired listening. But really, please have Stacy on all the time or at least trick her into hosting her own podcast.

    Where have I been!
I've been a loyal Refinery29 reader for about two years now and I'm so upset that I'm just now getting hip to Unstyled. The interviews and topics and guests appearances are so diverse and speak to a variety of POV's for the modern woman.
  • ivyarrested
Binged all of season 1 in a day!
Host Christene Barberich is a truly elqouent speaker, but she is an even more amazing listener. She gets truly personal with an amazing roster of women, getting to the heart of what's important in their lives today. I truly fell instantly in love with this podcast, and I hope that more people will discover it's beauty. Keep up the great work Unstyled!
  • Kelkel8833
    Deep, Invigorating, Enlightening and Inspirational
I adore this podcast and I'm so glad I found it through a social media post I saw Stacy London share. The interviews are moving, thought provoking and unifying on so many levels. In a time where there are too many divisions in American society, this show is grounding and provides refreshing thoughts on why women should be true to themselves in fashion, work and life in general.
  • Lara Kim
    Five star fashion podcast
It's a thinking woman's fashion podcast. Super smart with an industry insider POV yet inclusive and completely non-gushy in the best way. I love Christene's warm, intelligent interview style. She's plays the part of the perfect host for both the podcast guest and listener.
  • ElizabethDarlington
    So Inspiring!
Finally a great fashion focused, female hosted podcast. Christine's point of view and guests are a breath of fresh air for anyone in the industry or someone that just has an interest in style. Keep up the great content!!

    One of a kind
Christene's natural way of interviewing puts guests at ease. Unstyled feels much more like eavesdropping on girlfriends than your typical cold interview. I absolutely love it!
  • NK828
    New Fan!
I absolutely love this podcast, the guest and the topics are just what I have been looking for. I am a designer myself and I can fully relate to all these women. Love it!!

    Simply amazing
All I can say is...this is my new favorite podcast.
  • Jana Brancha
    Inspiring!
I LOVE this podcast. Christene Barberich is such a perceptive and sympathetic interviewer. The interviews are substantive; they explore women's confidence and self-expression. They give the listener permission to be different, to not conform to expectations. I wish I'd had this voice when I was growing up in the 1960's! It would have made all the difference in the world.
  • MediaJunkieGirl
Finally, a fashion podcast for the rest of us
Substantive conversations about fashion. I don't consider myself a "Fashion" person and found this podcast compelling. Honest conversations about identity, body, and finding your personal brand of self expression...And that voice!
