    Bowie Heaven
I’ve just finished the long journey of listening to this immense document on the life of Bowie. Always interesting, often fascinating, never trite or patronising…Rob and Mark have been wonderful companions on this enthusiastic delve into music and cultural history. Thanks so much for putting this together.

    Chock-A-Block World of Bowie
I can and do listen to these A-Z episodes over and over they are so dense with essential Bowie trivia. In a small way it helps keep him alive in my memory. I have been a Huge Bowie fan since the tail end of Ziggy in 1973 with the receipt of Pinups for Christmas and Diamond Dogs for high school graduation in 1974. Giant regrets to this day for missing Diamond Dogs tour stop at Universal Amphitheater 3 weeks after leaving SoCal for college. Ironically he was practically living under my nose in 1975 during my Bowie summer of discovery in LA when I acquired his entire back catalog which wasn’t easy at the time. Soloist sang Be My Wife during my first wedding in 1983. We chased each other around on tours until finally seeing Bowie live for the first time on the Glass Spiders Tour in 1987. Saw every tour after that (except Tin Machine). Celebrated Bowie in LA in January 2017. Everything in life is connected and these guys connect everything Bowie. My other Bowie regret is that I never met him in person and through this series I almost feel I have. Luv on ya! Billbowie

    Loved it
“What is it about Bowie? We obviously love his music. It’s because he’s such and interesting and interested person.” I’m bummed it’s over, it’s been something I look forward to every week for the past year! I guess I’ll just start it over again.

An Absolute Must for any hardcore Bowie fan
I thought I knew a lot about David Bowie. Then I discovered this amazing podcast. Marc and Rob are Bowie Ph.Ds. They are funny and smart and keep the conversation moving. I have learned so much about Bowie but also just great stuff about the music world in the 1960's and 70's. I haven't been this impressed with a Bowie related endeavor since I went to the David Bowie Is exhibit. Cannot recommend enough to anyone who loves Bowie. So happy I found this; I don't want it to ever end!

A Podcast About Bowie Without Any Music? It Works
How in the world can Marc Riley and Rob Hughes cover everything David Bowie and never play a single solitary song of his? Amazingly enough, they can, which I imagine saves them a ton in royalties. I don’t know how this podcast would come off to someone who knows very little about the man, but to someone like me who idolized the man for most of my life, it’s a real pleasure. Riley and Hughes blitz through Bowie’s life and friends and lovers and associates, talking about a lot of things I knew and providing lots of trinkets I didn’t. And they throw in the their own interactions with Bowie, all with a lot of humor. When they want to give listeners a taste of the time Bowie appeared on Bing Crosby’s TV special (without paying royalties), they do a hilarious dramatic reading of the exchange leading up to the famous “Drummer Boy” duet. The structure of draping the Thin White Duke’s life over the alphabet (A to Zed, in Britspeak) is a little disconcerting, with them jumping from the ‘60s to the 2000s at times in the same episode. But really, how else can you pack so much in? So far I’ve caught only one small error. The song Mott the Hoople refused to take from Bowie (causing Bowie to get so mad he got drunk and shaved his eyebrows off) was “Drive-In Saturday,” according to the anecdote Bowie tells in VH1 Storytellers, not whatever song Riley and Hughes cited. But that’s a minor quibble. I started listening because of a mention on Twitter a few months ago. I play some Bowie on my phone, pop in an earbud and listen to the two radio veterans riff while I’m driving. Now, I’m all caught up and waiting eagerly for the next episode.

I’ll be so sad at Zed!
This show is a must listen for the Bowie fanatic- just the giggly boys-comparing-records vibe is fun but they really dive deep into the ephemera. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself and I will be so sad when they’re done. There are a couple reviews that they speak quickly? I like to listen to eps a couple times each and catch everything!

    Excellence
This has been my new favorite podcast for a while now. It’s amazing how much detail Rob & Mike go into, and, although I’ve been a huge fan of Bowie for a while, I get such a greater, more well rounded picture of him as an artist and personally as I listen to these guys talk. Highly recommended for any Bowie fan!

    Won't download
I love this series, but I haven't been able to download the episodes since 'I'

    Excellent podcast
Marc and Rob are clearly huge fans and know their stuff but that alone doesn’t make for an interesting show. They keep it light and upbeat and are not afraid to admit when Bowie did something less than wonderful. The “A to Z” format avoids the usual chronological approach to biography and keeps things moving. I’ve binge-listened A through K in about 10, now it’s going to be hard having to wait a week for each new episode.

Best podcast ever about the best subject matter ever!
These guys do it right. Interesting, educational and entertaining. Thought I knew a lot about my favorite artist, David Bowie, but I’m learning a ton more about him and the people around him. RIP Starman.

    Essential Bowie goodness!
This podcast is absolutely essential listening for any true fan of David Bowie. The two hosts are well-known UK radio personalities and sincere devotees of all things Bowie. Great A to Z format with tons of details and insight, they also put events into the context of the times in which they occurred. Lots of humor as well make this truly a pleasure to listen to — highly recommended!

    Job's a good'un!
I like this almost as much as the A to Z of punk, so far! I don't think the hosts talk too fast: they are excited about the subject, and are trying to cover as much as possible (and they happen to have regional accents, maybe this is a hurdle for American listeners?) Marc Riley is on the BBC four days a week, so I dare say he knows what he's doing. I'm learning a lot about Bowie I didn't know, and it's making me go back to excitedly revisit the albums.

    Fantastic
This show is everything it claims: an A to Z series of Bowie anecdotes in bite-size portions. Many of these stories I know, and I smile to myself as I think, “oh, yeah, I’ve heard this!” Plenty of them I don’t and I think, “huh, that’s interesting.” Keep this going, guys.

    Could be great
Sorry, but I also echo others sentiment regarding the fast pace of the dialogue.

    Very good but....
Very good but it will be nice to play a part of a song. For example when they said ashes to ashes they could have played part of the song

    Excellent first episode!
Informative and entertaining! Love all the anecdotes and insight into all the different facets of Bowie's prolific career, even in the first episode. Looking so forward to more episodes of this podcast!

    Great Bowie info
Awesome research, these guys know their stuff! My problem with the show is the hosts speak too fast and it can be hard to keep up. Please slow down and relax!
