This podcast is actually fantastic. It took a few episodes, but I really have come to enjoy the “educational” information wrapped in the layer of ridiculousness. The banter is great! It is both informative and entertaining. I do wish the episodes were more regular. Keep em coming though.

I love this show. In particular I love that the guys don’t take themselves too seriously. When life feels overwhelming and I can actually get out fishing myself…I just fire up this show and I’m laughing along with them soon enough.

I returned to fishing some 35 years after I last went as a kid. I went with my son a few times and realized that all of our local ponds have only dinky largemouth and that I sucked at fishing on bigger water. I turned to podcasts to learn more and I quickly became frustrated by the bass industry’s emphasis on electronics and expensive gear where everything feels like a sales pitch for one more lure. Then I discovered these guys. Chris and Josh are just real (they also crack me up!). They have no agenda other than the simple enjoyment of smallmouth fishing. I began listening to every episode and I started exploring our local rivers. Turns out, our rivers and creeks are far more beautiful than our ponds and lakes. Today was my first true wet wade, and because of this podcast, I felt like I had a sense of what sort of water to look for and where to cast. I got a nice hit on my fluke but no fish. So I can’t call myself a “wet boy” yet. If you guys keep making episodes, I will keep listening and keep on trying for my first smallmouth!

Token chef of the Smallie Talk Podcast. Love the shared knowledge. I am somewhat new to smallie fishing, as well as Indiana so it’s nice to get fishing tactics from locals. Dudes are moderately funny whenever you’re five or six beers deep, so that’s something.

When the two hosts arent giving each other boners they actually drop good nuggets of smallmouth fishing knowledge.

Great podcast on my drive to work.A few too many butthole jokes.But for the love of Smallmouth I will ignore those.Im shocked you guys didn't mention a swimbait in your lure draft.We slay some tanks here in SW,Ohio on swimbaits.One thing I think you guys should discuss more is river kayaks.Out of your circle of river smallie guys you should be able to recommend a few solid river kayaks.Keep up the great work and free the fighter!!

I live in the Ozarks (amen), home of God’s chosen strain of smallmouth. I’ve been fortunate enough to carry my fairy wands all over this planet and land untold numbers of wild and crazy species. Freaking milkfish on a fly rod! Thirty years of a rewarding and satisfying fishing life. And now these Hoosier jerkwads are making me wanna add Indiana to my bucket list?! Five stars.

Have listened to every single episode multiple times and love every single second of it ! You guys are hilarious and share great knowledge about smallie fishing in general. That being said... if you want to lose in a 1v1 on sugar creek I am down and will show no mercy - great work and keep it up don’t lose the passion !

Always looking for informative pods and/content and not only does this podcast cover that but they do it in a funny way. I can’t name another fishing pod that uses comedy so that sets Smallie Talk apart. Hosts appear to have a good chemistry. Very nice podcasts.

I laugh. I learn. It’s great. Only downside is these clowns don’t ice fish. Very good podcast and so great to have a place to go to get local knowledge and techniques!

Great river fishing tips and stories. Funny dudes. Excellent guests with lots of brain power.

The show was good; but the Pumpernickel was great.

These guys are awesome. I watched them record at the Bronzefest 2k19 event in Waynesville and have since been working my way through almost every episode. River fishing for smallmouth and specifically kayak and wade fishing is a fairly niche outdoor sport. So it’s pretty freakin sweet to have an entertaining and educational podcast about it. I’d reccamend this podcast for veterans and beginners alike! P.s. the double fluke rig DOES work and you should give it a try! -MO_Fishin_Freak

That sipping mouth noise after every statement is unnerving. Can’t take it anymore. The lack of fishing information, along with that is just not worth my time.

High level fishing discussion with middle school level humor. All around the best fishing podcast I have found.

If you like to fish and laugh this is your podcast. Josh and chris seem like your regular fishing buddies who can reel em in and will bust your balls while they’re doing it. Highly recommended.
