BoomerSooner91Furniture is not a four letter wordI loved listening to Dianne and Doug interact. I think Furgatory is one of the best words ever created! We need to put that on a t-shirt 🔥 I look forward to hearing LOTS more conversations about decommissioning furniture. It’s a massive global issue and is going to take everyone working together to try and solve the problem. Thank you for talking about designing your life. It’s something I am also super passionate about. Design your life; you only have one. Thanks for what you do, Doug, and your positive influence on the world!

Cherylb470Furniture is not a four letter wordDianne Kimiko Murata of Kimiko Designs is spot on with the complexities to a job going all the way from when we are brought on to a project to it being installed right when the puzzle is complete. Furniture doesn’t have to be a four letter word and Dianne gives great insight into this all the way from programming thru to post documents. I love the new word made up about the gap that sometimes happens between the design firm and the dealer, Furgatory!!! She touches very well on sustainability and re-using or re-purposing product so it doesn’t go into a landfill. Well done!!

SheilaRogersFurniture is Not a Four Letter WordThe podcast episode with Dianne Murata of Kimiko Designs was SO GOOD. I took fast and furious notes on three intertwined topics: Kimiko’s two decades of working virtually and building community within that workplace model, the need to solve the puzzle of decommissioned furniture and the environment, and her encouragement to “live by design”. Thank you, Doug, for this informative and fun segment.

BooshieMumma23Surprising and RefreshingI’ve been a commercial dealer designer for a quarter of a century. I’m also a huge podcast fan. Until “Imagine a Place” I never let the two meet. Im so grateful that I did because this is introspective, lighthearted, and so relevant. Honestly I think people in this industry need support groups sometimes. Not only does this feel like one but it feels like one with lots of hope.
