Can we get new host(s)?

I’ve tried several times to give this pod a chance. I’m sad to say it’s just not good as currently constituted. I listen to multiple other Locked-On podcasts for my other teams. This one is just unlistenable. The hockey content is non-substantive and superficial and there is way too much other non-Kraken, non-hockey stuff (veering into social and political opinions). It’s locked on something…but it’s not Locked-On Kraken.

Hard to listen to

Unfortunately I’ve been unable to listen long enough to reach the end of a single episode. Just can’t do it. Wanted to like it but it’s just not good.

It’s a show about minorities and social justice and they sprinkle some hockey in it. This is what happens when the alphabet agenda is the priority.

💀Extremely low quality💀

What the flip is this show. The production quality is so low. Nothing about this show sounds professional. This is not the type of quality of podcast that I would expect from the locked on podcast network. The corny intro phrase just make me cringe and makes me want turn off the show as soon as it starts. Fix your show locked on🥶🥵🤮💀.

Poor Quality

I was hoping to find a good show to listen to so I could better understand the Seattle Kraken, and get excited about the playoffs. This is not the show to listen to. The show has poor production quality. It meanders aimlessly. Sounds like a slinky playing in the background. This show doesn’t meet the same bar as other locked-on podcasts.

I liked the high level information, but the host talks in a very halting way and seems to be trying to over enunciate. It’s super distracting.

Love Kraken coverage but don’t care for other stuff

I love the coverage on the Kraken but am not interested in the other topics. For a podcast called “Locked on Kraken” it seems to not be so locked in but goes off on other topics and social tangents. When it is about the Kraken I find the discussions and insights good and interesting.

Top tier hockey podcast

Continually amazed by how much content fits into every episode. Focuses on Kraken hockey mostly, but also great coverage of women’s hockey. Doesn’t shy away from speaking on the bigger picture issues in hockey culture.

Hard to get through

I love the Kraken and was so excited to see a dedicated podcast, but the host is soo hard to listen to I find it hard to get through an episode. It seems like she’s trying too hard to keep up energy and it just comes across as yelling. There isnt a lot of takes or commentary on team, mostly just her reading stats in between audio clips of the team and it just drones on….No actual interviews. Also the production quality is terrible with the mic was being bumped constantly. Get a new host!!

Let's get Kraken!

I was beyond excited to hear that Erica was going to be hosting a daily Kraken pod! Her work with the NWHL/PWHPA and women's basketball is fantastic and she will bring a fresh persepective to the NHL conversation. This show fits the culture being built by the Kraken perfectly.

We’re lucky to have a hugely accomplished host like Erica L Ayala present a daily Kraken podcast. She has a great presentation. She also comes to hockey with a hugely important perspective on being welcoming and inclusive.
