Bring it to the big screen
Expertly produced. exceptional voice acting, and a great story. My only complaints is that I wish Chartrulean would lighten up on his friends and I hope to see some of Havelion’s Journal entries, especially the battles, enhanced with all the characters and situations involved. It would transfer well to a sci-fi series with a movie crescendo. I would love to see the voice actors bring their characters to life on the screen. It may be a challenge in some cases, but I don’t know if I could tolerate Chartrulean without Aud Andrew’s voicing him. Listen to this show. You won’t be disappointed.

Interesting character development and a lot of moving parts
Although Chartrulean seems classified as a "space opera" or fantasy/sci-fi epic tale, often compared to all kinds of other fantasy and sci-fi tales, (Star Wars, Star Trek, pretty much anything else spacey someone recognizes,) it is, however, novel in its approach. Comparisons are often a stretch, assigning vaguely relatable story elements and declaring similarity. If anything, Chartrulean has much more in common with the classic Japanese animated stories of the 1970's and early 1980's, although through an entirely modern lens. There is a lot to it. There is an unlikely hero, but instead of one dimensionally transforming to the task, this character struggles with increasingly unresolvable complications and his own deterioration. Many characters have their own arcs habits and idiosyncrasies, They are human in their oddness. It is difficult to pick a favorite, although a few certainly come to mind. It's a very human tale, with the major cast bending and twisting to the situations that unfold. Some challenges outside, and some within. The story is driven by concerns of morality, duty, and self doubt, things we deeply understand as human beings. In this way it is quite authentic and interesting. Technically, meticulous work shows in the environment and sounds of things, sometimes silently guiding your attention along or through between spaces. Some of the transitions are particularly clever and interesting, using thoughts, distractions or panning to direct your mind's eye. It's really interesting. Great stuff.

Dune meets Hunger Games meets Ender's Game
This is the perfect show for anyone who loves sci-fi and is looking for a captivating new world to get excited about. If you like the large scale space-politics of Dune, the social commentary of the Hunger Games, and the moral quandries of the advanced weaponry of Ender's Game, you'll feel right at home with the Madness of Chartrulean. The show manages to portray something entirely original in the sci-fi genre, particularly with its beautifully ethereal score and phenomenal voice acting. Well worth a listen!

    A great story flawlessly executed
A great story can be let down by inconsistent or sub-par production values, and a show that sounds perfect will be hollow and forgettable if it isn’t in support of a compelling tale. This show combines both of those aspects in a way that I’d expect to hear from a big-studio production. Everything is outstanding - the acting, the writing, the sound design, the pacing… even if I wanted to nitpick I couldn’t. It’s incredibly immersive and beyond that the listener’s attention and focus is rewarded at every turn.

    An Epic Is Made
This is impeccable work — an epic story is emerging here. As a subscriber I’m proud to say I’m one of the lucky ones who got to hear it first. I cannot wait for the next episode as the story keeps building and transporting me into a different world. The original soundtrack (beautiful music) and voice characters are flawless. The voice of Chartrulean is pure artistry — a great, enduring, deep voice for an unforgettable layered character. The moment I hear the voice I know it’s Chartrulean. The entire cast is so talented and I believe something beautiful happened in the making of this production — you can literally hear the collaborative spirit in the performance. I haven’t enjoyed listening to an audio drama this rich since I listened to the BBC adaptation of The Lord of the Rings in my childhood. This is listening joy — ear candy for the ages. I can’t wait to listen more…
