Some of the best conversations I've ever had have taken place while running with others. Over the course of several miles, the conversations are allowed to flow freely and cover a variety of topics. And that's what I try to do with my podcast.

One of Diz’s best interviews. Maybe taking time off from the weekly long podcasts will work out better for you. This was an excellent interview

    Applicable even to non runners
I don’t actually run any longer. I’ve put all my eggs in the competitive swimming basket and yet I still get a lot of value from Diz and the podcast. The life advice, the general training advice, and the positivity are all applicable even though I’ve shifted my sports focus. So I wholeheartedly recommend the podcast to anyone on a fitness and training journey.

Seems like a nice guy. 🤣
Great interviews coverings all types of running and runners. I’m a beginner runner and I truly enjoy this podcast. Updated 12/16/22. Well it has been a few years since my first review. I’ve been listening to Denny as I’ve gone from 5ks and half marathons then to my one marathon and then moved to ultra marathons. I’ve gone from road to trails and Denny still has good information with his not so quick tips and interviews.

    Always great
I met Denny on Twitter just like everybody else. And I thought he was a great guy and always had some nice things to say. Then I found out that he had this podcast, and I immediately liked it too. He has such great advice in the question and answer sections, and his guests are awesome. Many of them I knew from Twitter and Instagram communities where they were posting their runs and we were all following each other and cheering each other on. Such great memories. So I just wanted to give him a shout out let him know that even though I can’t run anymore because I’m disabled, his podcast is still entertaining to me. Keep up the good work dude.

    Great Find!
I did a quick search this morning before my run for a running podcast! I subscribe to a few already, but I find most of them interviewing the elites…and although that’s great, and I do enjoy them…I really want to hear the stories of regular mid to back of pack runners. Their struggles, tips, tricks. I want to feel like we are running together down the road of trail as friends. I want to hear real info I can use from experts in the field. This podcast, so far, had done that…3 episodes in & counting! Thank you for such an informative podcast that doesn’t make me feel less than! I run everyday, I am a runner!

    Checks all the boxes.
This is my favorite running podcast. Diz does a phenomenal job of checking all of the important boxes of a podcast. Dizruns is informative, fun, entertaining and relatable. My only gripe is that I can’t listen everyday. Keep up the great work.

    Great running conversations!
It’s great to listen to low key conversations about running with a variety of people

    The banter is so good!
Love listening to these episodes on a walk or a run. You’ll feel like a fly on the wall as you absorb the conversation, which typically starts by talking about running, meanders elsewhere, then comes back to running again. Denny is excellent at guiding conversation in a way that feels authentic and casual. His laidback demeanor totally sets the tone. Recommend to all of my running pals on medium or long aerobic run days!

    Not just a podcast...
**i wrote this years ago and it was never submitted! I’m still listening!! I accidentally stumbled across Diz runs podcast when I was looking for a good running podcast. I am still a new runner, and had so many questions, but Google only seemed to confuse and overwhelm me. Diz runs is more than just a podcast, it really is a community. I just got connected with the Facebook group, and I am so excited about the support and advice that I can get from real runners. I enjoy listening while I’m doing housework, stuck on the treadmill, or outside running. The resources he provides are very helpful and I appreciate how active he is with his followers. The variety of topics and interviews has something for every level of runner. Highly recommended!

    Great Show
I’ve listened to tons of running podcasts and I’ve narrowed it down to two that I always listen to. This is one of them. Great guests with an array of running backgrounds. The Monthly Q&A shows are always informative.

    Love this podcast
This podcast comes highly recommended. Diz is very knowledgeable, easy to listen to, and very relatable. Whether it’s his quick tips, or his own experiences I’ve felt like I’m able to learn from his mistakes instead of making them myself. I also recently started listening to the Drunk Ex Pastors because of him, which made me like him that much more. Thanks for the motivation, and the prompt answers when I e-mailed you! You’re awesome.

    Love this Podcast!!!
I am an avid yet average runner and listen to this podcast regularly. On runs, at work, mowing the grass, etc. I love the interviews with the variety of runners, as well as the quick tips. This show is inspiring and makes me feel connected to runners all over the country, and I know that my struggles and challenges are not just mine, but shared by all runners. Highly recommend!

Great Running advice with some Magic.
Tons of positive energy and information for the Boston qualifier types or those trying to maintain weight, improve mental health and just outrun the Disney balloon ladies.

    Fun Podcast
Denny does a podcast that is informative and fun for all levels of running. He has a great balance of quick tips, personal thoughts and quality interviews. The people he interviews range from newbies, ultra runners and people in the medial field so you’ll find something for everyone. Easily my favorite running podcast.

Feels like listening to an old friend talking .
Interesting conversations with unique personalities. Denny does a great job of allowing the guests to deliver their own story, leaving you feeling as though you’ve just become very acquainted with a new person. The ‘quick tip’ and Q&A shows are also interesting and well thought out.

Useful Training tips AND great conversations!
If you want a podcast that will help you to stay motivated, get excited about all things running, and encourage you to think and learn about concepts and ideas that will vastly improve your life both on and off the run, you’ve come to the right place! The cadence and pitch of his voice is SO perfect for great show to listen to while running! I’m so glad to have recently found this show and can’t wait to go back and listen to all the episodes I missed! (#2020goals)

    Must listen
I was looking for a podcast about running that I could listen to when on the run, in the car, or before bed. I have found that here, this podcast is a wonderful listen and is well put together with great audio quality. So thank you for the time and effort you put into the show. -AClem.

    My favorite podcast!
I’m new to running, but have been an avid podcast listener for years, and this truly is one of the best podcasts I've listened to! I love hearing the stories from the runners Denny interviews. He's a very good interviewer - he asks thoughtful questions and does not interrupt when his guests are talking. His quick tips are great for newbies (like me) and experienced runners. I’ve learned a lot and have been inspired by Denny and his guests!
  • TGJC1979
    Most excellent
Diz finds the most interesting and motivational folks to come on the show and talk about so much more than putting one foot in front of the other. The quick top episodes are more of a conversation between us and Denny than him lecturing. So glad I’ve stumbled into this podcast. Keep up the awesomeness, Diz!
  • Joemed01
    Great info and very interactive
Diz Runs is a great podcast for those who are just getting into the sport or have been active for a while and can use a helping hand of info from time to time. The quick tips and Q&A episodes are the best because they always seem to hit the mark on what I am curious about! Major plus of this podcast: Denny is serious about your reaching out to him with questions... and he ACTUALLY writes back! So give this podcast and try and take your running game to the next level!

    Good for any level runner
Very informative and entertaining. Good mix of guest and interesting topics. Denny doesn’t take himself too serious but has a wealth of running/training knowledge.

    Making the sport approachable!
There is so much useful information in Denny’s podcast every week! I first got hooked with episode 680 with guest Frieda Edgette. That episode was sooooo much more than just about running, and that was how I knew this podcast was going to be different. (Seriously go listen to that interview right now!) Denny has a knack for breaking things down and making the sport so much more approachable. He talks to everyday folks who are passionate about running and the running community. My favorite episodes are the monthly Q and A sessions based on questions submitted through the Diz Runs Tribe Facebook group, and they are always filled with useful information! This is the running podcast that you need to subscribe to.

    The Coach for Everyone
I have known of Denny since our quick meeting at the Prairie Fire Marathon in Wichita Oct. 2018. Happenstance and divine intervention brought us togehter in Janurary of this year when I won a 6 month coaching session. Denny has the ability to make any runner feel like a champion. His plans are personal; he works to understand your life circumstances, and he turned my puzzle of family, traveling and training into a runner who is more accomplished, more confident, and better able to adjust. I had the priviledge of sharing a run and being a quest on his show, and rather than follow a script, he goes with the flow regardless of the rabbit trails....it's all important to him! More importantly, his podcast resonates with average runners and makes them feel elite. His wisdom is often profound, mostly funny, but always spot on. He is first on my play list when driving alone ( I run tech free), and my favorite words of wisdom (outside of REST days) is : what happens when you say "yes". Its a short 30 minute podcast, but it hit home, and know I look for ways to say "yes" in my life, not just running! Listen up, follow his FB page, post, laugh, and become a member of a community that supports each other! And hire Denny to train you regardless of your distance, ability level, or speed....say yes!

    Fantastic Show!
Finally getting around to writing a review and should have done it a long time ago. This show is fantastic! I throughly enjoy the topics, interviews, opinions, and info. Listening during the morning runs on the treadmill definitely make those miles a lot easier.

    So Inspiring
This is a fantastic running show. Denny brings on guests from all walks of life, and his solo shows (listener Q&As) are fantastic too. If there is a running topic you're curious about all you have to do is search the archives.

    Great for Beginners!
To be fair, this podcast may be great for seasoned runners too, I’m just not there yet. 😊 Every episode has something informative, inspiring, or otherwise thought-provoking, and guests come from all over the running world. It’s a great podcast, and the online community is worth joining for anyone who has questions or wants to stay motivated in their running journey.

    Awesome podcast!
Just discovered this podcast and the varied styles each week are awesome and great to mix up and keep things fun while listening on my runs. Love that some episodes are short and some are long. I always seem to learn something or start to ponder on a point made in each episode. If you are a runner or want to start running this is the podcast you need to be listening to.

    Long Runs are finally fun!
I’ve learned a lot of valuable and practical running advice listening to Denny. I’ve slowed my everyday pace, am now running ‘easy’ and finally feeling stronger and pain free. Love this podcast!!

    I Needed This
I found this podcast after hearing Denny being interviewed on another podcast. It's been really helpful to me, especially his advice about heartrate training and being patient about seeing results. Also, he's incredibly generous with his advice—it's obvious that he sincerly cares about helping people achieve their goals. Also, he gears his advice to a range of abilities, not just to folks who are naturally gifted or who've been running competitively since childhood. Three thumbs up. —Lori

Slow your pace.... your speaking pace
I loved the content and I have listened to many running podcasts but I had to stop because Denny talks too fast. Just got me anxious just listening. Sorry.

    Great energy and tips
I am new to running and signed up for my first half marathon giving myself 4 months to go from 0 to 13.1. I hit a rut as the miles lengthened and I am so glad I found this podcast. I wasn’t enjoying my runs and thought I’d survive the half and be done as a runner. I tried a few books and didn’t find the motivation i needed but then i found six runs! I’ve been listening to a lot of quick tips and it has helped me develop a better understanding of running and helped me adjust my mindset. It’s an energetic and fun show and the information is invaluable. Thank you for getting me out of my rut and helping me find joy in running. I look forward to my runs and each new episode!

    Great podcast
Such a real show to listen too. I started listening a week or so ago and haven’t stopped. Highly Recommend for anyone who is having a hard time to keep motivated. Great job. Keep up the awesome work.

    Well rounded running podcast
I started listening to DRR last year, and it quickly became the first podcast I go to when I set up for a run. Denny’s interviews are skillfully conducted and make you feel like you are part of the conversation . The QT episodes are little pep talks with your running coach to keep you on track. Q & A is our chance as listeners to direct the content of the show; listeners ask, Denny answers. Sometimes serious and sometimes silly, but always thoughtful, practical and genuine. DRR is an all around listen for running, life, and everything in between.

    Your Friendly Neighborhood Running Buddy
Listening to Denny is like hanging out at a run shop and having a regular tell you all the cool secrets. Even when he’s “paying the bills” it feels more like - “I got this cool thing and you should try it”. I don’t think I have ever skipped an episode since I started - and I’m a chronic skipper so that’s high praise!

    Great running podcast!
I was looking for a running podcast to listen to while out running. I tried several different ones but Diz Run was my favorite. He has so many interesting guests on the show and you learn so much. My favorite episodes are the Quick Tips and the Listener Q&A. Give this podcast and try and you will be glad you did! Karen A

    Real world podcaster
I love this podcast because Diz is a normal runner that people can relate to because he has to balance work and life. I love that he interviews non professional runners because that is the world most of us live in. Great show!!! Btw your show has help keep me focused and I have lost 37lbs and knocked 1.5 minute off my 1.5 mile plus 3.5mins off my 5K. Thank you.
  • gPirtle
    Denny is excellent!
I accidentally found Denny’s show while browsing for an informative running podcast. I tried a couple others before this one, but they weren’t engaging. I was instantly hooked after hearing the first 10 minutes of Diz Runs. Excellent podcast with great tips, Q & A, and interesting guests. Thanks Denny for a great podcast!
